Indications & Dose:

Bronchial asthma, pulmonary infections with bronchospastic component



Adult :600-800 mg daily in divided doses


Children: Not recommended.

Contraindications:

Acute myocardial infarction, known hypersensitivity to  xanthine derivatives.

Side Effects:

Headache or gastralgia, nausea and slight distal tremors, urticaria, itching, rash dermatitis.

Cautions:

Patients with severe heart failure severe hypertension, hepatic and renal insufficiency, gastric ulcer,  hyperthyoidism,  first months of pregnancy, last days of pregnancy and lactation
