Indications & Dose:

Maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease



Adult: 150 micrograms once daily, then increased to 300 micrograms once daily 

Contraindications:

adrenergic drugs: potentiated sympathetic effects beta blockers: Possible interference with the effect of beta blockers and indacaterol cytochrome P450 3A4, P-gp efflux transporter such as erythromycin diuretics, steroids, xanthine derivatives: Possible increased risk of hypokalemic effect MAO inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants: Potentiated adrenergic action on the cardiovascular system non-potassium sparing diuretics: Increased risk of EGG changes or hypokalemia QTprolonging drugs: Increased risk of ventricular arrhythmias
