Indications & Dose:

Post traumatic & post operative disturbances of consciousness and motor paralysis after apoplexy to improve brain metabolism in C.V.A.Treatment of cognitive, sensative, motor neuropsychologic disorders of fegenerative or vasculocerebral etiology.


Adult 1000 mg i/v once daily for four consecutive weeks,  or 200mg oral 3 times daily


Children 100mg -2-3 times daily

Contraindications:

Pregnancy & lactation. hypertonia of the parasympathetic 

Side Effects:

 Hypotension, insomnia & excitement. 

Cautions:

 In pt. with acute, severe & progressive disturbances of consciousness administer with haemostatic intacranial pressure relieving drugs or use measures to keep body temp. low.
