PYRITINOL

Indications & Dose:

Mental fatigue, lack of concentration, mental retardation in  children. Organic brain syndrome, intellectual impairment of senility, encephalitis, alcohol withdrawal state and perinatal distress. Cerebrovascular accidents. Sequelae of head injury. Organic psycho syn-drome.



Adults : 200-600mg daily in divided doses.


Children: 40-100mg 1-3 times daily, continue therapy for several weeks.


Infants: 2.5-5ml 1-3 times daily.

Contraindications:

Rheumatoid arthritis, hypersensitivity. 

Side Effects:

Anorexia, epigastric distress, vomiting, fatigue, headache, sleep disturbances. Skin rash, pruritis and increased excitement.

Precautions:

Concomitant therapy with gold, levamisole or D-penicillamine.


Pregnancy & breast-feeding: Use with caution.
