Indications & Dose:

Treatment and prophylaxis of tuberculosis; where other therapy is contraindicated  or ineffective


DOSE


Adult: Resistant tuberculosis: 0.5-1g daily after meal in 2-3 divided doses along with other therapy , max; 1g daily., Multibacillary leprosy ; 5mg/kg daily as a single dose.


Childrens:


 Resistant tuberculosis: 15-20mg/kg /day 12 hourly , max 1g daily. Multibacillary leprosy ; Same as adult on weight basis

Contraindications:

Acute liver disease and hypersensitivity.
