Indications & Dose:

Cutaneous, mucocutaneous, and oral cavity candidal infections; candidal vulvovaginitis; intestinal candidiasis


DOSE


Tablets: Adult• Oral Thrush: 1 tab daily for 14 days, in Aids at neutropenic patients 2 tab once daily for 15 days.


Elderly & Children : Not recommended


Liquid: 100 mg twice daily or 200mg once daily, swished around the oral cavity for 20 seconds & than swallowed at last 1 hour before meal for once week, repeat if necessary


Fluconazole resistant patients; 100-200mg twice daily for 2 weeks, continued if necessary for a further 2 weeks


Cream: • Skin infections: Apply 2-3 times daily • Vaginitis: 1-2 passaries or 1-2 applications of cream inserted high into the vagina for 14 at nights or layer regardless of any intervening mensturation.Children; use vaginal cream

Adult: by mouth in intestinal candidiasis 500,000 6 hourly , doubled in severe infections


Children: 100,00 units 4 times daily. Prophylaxis 1 million units daily


Neonates: 100,000 units daily as a single dose
