Indications & Dose:

Tinea cruris, tines corporis, tines paedis; onychomycosis due to dermatophytes; cutaneous candidiasis*; mentagrophestines versicolor; active against Epidermophyton floccosum, Trichophyton mentagrophyres, Trichophyton rubrum


DOSE



Adult Cream; massage into the affected area one or twice daily for one or twice daily for one or two weeks


• Tinea pedis: Top apply bid for 1-4wk, until symptoms resolved


• Tinea cruris, T.corporis: Top apply qd-bid for 1-4 wk


• Onychomycosisony: PO 250 mg qd for 6 wk (fingernail) or 12 wk (toenail)


 

Contraindications:

Preexisting renal or hepatic disease (oral therapy)

PREGNANCY AND LACTATION: It is recommended that treatment of onychomycosis be delayed until after pregnancy; small amounts of terbinafine are excreted into breast milk when administered orally, not recommended in nursing mothers; avoid application to the breast when breast feeding

CNS: Headache
EENT: Visual disturbance
GI: Abdominal pain, diarrhea, dyspepsia, elevated transaminases, flatulence, nausea, taste disturbance
SKIN: Burning, dryness, irritation, itching
