Indications & Dose:
Dihydroartemisinin is effective in all forms of malaria, it is specially effective for the treatment of falciparum malaria and cerebral malaria which are chloroquine resistant or piperaquine resistant.
1.6mg/kg/dose ( Rounded up or down to the nearest half tab) given at 0 hour, 8 hours, 24hours. Alternatively the same total dose may be given once daily for three days.
Children 2 mg/kg body weight with the loading dose doubled.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to any component of this drug., History of arrhythemia, of clinical relevant bradycardia, and of conjestive heart failure accompanied by reduced ventricular ejection fraction; family history of sudden death or of congenital QT interval prolongaion

Abdominal pain, anorexia, diarrhoea, vomiting, nausea, palpitation, prolongation QT interval, CNS Disturbance

Electrolyte disturbance concomitant use with other drugs known to cause QT interval prolongation, monitor patient unable to take food, Dizziness may effect performance
