Phloroglucinol+ Trimethylphloroglucinol

Indications & Dose:

Colics of the biliary and urinary tract, tensemus, dysmenorrhoea, acute pancreatitis; angina pectoris, myocardial infarction; migraine; to facilitate parturition

• BY INJECTABLE

Inj: Adults: By i.m. or i.v. one to three amps daily

• BY MOUTH

Adult:Tabs: 2 tabs two or three times daily.

Children :Not recommended

Contraindications:

 Narrow angle glaucoma, prostatic adenoma with residual urine formation, mechanical stenoses of the gastrointestinal tract, tachyarrhythmias, megacolon, allergy to pyrazolone derivatives, acute intermittent porphyria.

Side Effects:

Dryness of the mouth, reduced secretion of sweat glands, redening of skin, difficulties in accommodation, glaucoma attacks (narrow angle glaucoma), tachycardia, micturition difficulties; leucopenia and agranulocytosis (pharyngitis may be the first sign of this latter effect).
