Oestradiol

Indications & Dose:

Treatment of estrogen deficiency symptoms in natural  or artificial menopause, vasomotor symptoms after menopause, prevention of loss of bone mass caused by estrogen deficiency. Irregularities of the menstrual cycle; primary and secondary amenorrhoea; pre-and postmeno-pausal symptoms; deficiency symptoms after oophorectomy or radilogical castration for noncarcinomatous diseases. 

DOSE

Adult: 2mg once a day for 21 days
Child: Not recommended.

Contraindications:

Same as Ethinyloestradiol. 

Side Effects:

Nausea, vomiting, weight gain, breast tenderness & enlargement, jaundice, rashes, withdrawl bleeding. 

Cautions:

Hypertension, myocardial or renal disease, asthma, varicose vein, epilepsy, fibromyometa.
