Indications & Dose:

Volume therapy, Hypoproteinemia,

Hypogammaglobulinaemia. Hypoalbuminemia, prophylaxis against infectious disease in case of antibody syndrome. Hemodilution.
Note: Biseko is free of hemolysins and can therefore be administered regardless of blood group.
DOSAGE:
ADULTS
: 50ml i.v. can be increased upto 200ml.
Children:
1amp of 20ml i.v.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to human protein.

Side Effects:

Adverse reactions such as chills, headache, fever, vomiting, allergic reactions, nausea, arthralgia and mild backpain may occur occasionally. Rarely the contained immunoglobulins may cause a fall in blood pressure and in isolated cases, anaphylactic reactions up to shock, even when the patient has shown no sensitivity to previous administration. In neonates and infants receiving Biseko at a dosage which is greater then the recommended maximum dosage and which corresponds to their estimated circulated volume or exceeds this, it is conceivable that even the very low content of isoagglutinins may results in clinical symptoms. Signs of increased haemolysis should be looked out for. When  medicinal products prepared from human blood or plasma are administered, infectious diseased due to transmission of infective agents cannot be totally excluded. This applies also to pathogens of hitherto unknown nature.

Cautions:

Precautions:

Interaction:

with other drugs: Live attenuated vaccines: The administration of Biseko may impair for a period of at least 6 weeks and up to 3 months the efficiency of live attenuated virus vaccines such as measles, rubella, mumps and varicella. Interference with serological testing: After administration of Biseko the transitory rise of the various passively transferred antibodies in the patients blood may result in positive results in serological testing. These results are based on the transferred antibodies (passive immunization) and should possibly be taken into account by the physician. Biseko is suitable for resuspending the erythrocyte concentrates.
