Benzydamine HCL

Indications & Dose:

Acute inflammatory conditions of respiratory tract, urogenital tract and painful and oedematous conditions such as post traumatic, post operative and in dentistry.


DOSE


Adults


Lozenge;


Suck lozenge every 1-2 hours (max; 12 lozenges)


Oral Rinse


Gargle with 15ml 2-3 times daily.


Gel


Apply 2-3 times daily

Contraindications:

Agitation. Hypersensitivity. 

Side Effects:

Nausea or burning sensations in epigastrium, dizziness, visual distur-bances, palpitation and slight tachycardia.
Topical: Photosensitivity, skin rash, red-ness.
Oral: Stinging sensation, numbness. 

Cautions:

In microbially induced inflammation, it should be combined with specific therapy. In patients prone to gastric irritation.


Vulvovaginitis and exocervicitis of any nature pre and post-operatory prophylaxis in gynaecology surgery, post radiation, vaginal mucositis. Inflammatory conditions of mouth and throat.
