Indications & Dose:

For the control of intraocular pressure in chronic open angle glaucoma & ocular hypertension. 


DOSE


Adults: 1-2 drops twice daily. 
Children: Not recommended. 

Contraindications:

Patients with history of bronchial asthma, COPD, sinus bradycardia, cardiac failure, second and third degree AV block. Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Side Effects:

Stinging and transient burning sensation, iridocyclitis, reduced heart rate and BP, headache, dizziness, transient ataxia, lethargy, pruritis, polyurea, thirst. 

Cautions:

Precautions:

Respiratory, cardiac disease, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, surgery, closed angle glaucoma. Avoid abrupt withdrawal of drug in patients suspected of thyrotoxicosis, lactation, metabolic acidosis, monitor fluid and electrolytes. 

Interaction:

Drugs Resperpine, Systemic beta-blokers.
