Miltefosine

Indications & Dose:

INDICATIONS: Miltefosine is primarily indicated in conditions like Visceral leishmaniasis, and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in Colorectal cancer, Metastatic breast cancer.

DOSE:

Adult Dosage: 2.500 mg/kg/day As recommended. PO Should be given for 28 days.The dose should be adjusted based on pat of 4mg/kg per day is not exceeded.

Contraindications:

 Pregnancy.

Diarrhea, Nausea and vomiting, Hepatotoxicity.
