Indications & Dose:
INDICATIONS
Oint: Boils, Furnuculosis. Impetigo. Sycosis barbae. Paronychia. Burns. Ulcers. Tinea infestations. Cutaneous candidiasis.
Soln: Herpes. Topical treatment of monoliasis. Trichomoniasis.
Powder: Exudative wounds, post-surgical dressing, episiotomy.
DOSE:
Oint: Apply once daily or as required and cover the wound. Apply 8 hourly for burns..
Powder: Sprinkle as required.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to iodine. Avoid regular use in patients with thyroid disorders or those receiving lithium therapy

Precautions:
To avoid contact with eyes, stop treatment if redness, irritation or swelling develops. Renal impairment. Broken skin: Application to large wounds or severe burns may produce systemic adverse effects such as metabolic acidosis, hypernatremia and impairment of renal function.
Pregnancy: Use with caution.
Breast-feeding: Use with caution.
Old age: May be used.
