Indications & Dose:
Fungal infections (mycoses) of the skin caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, moulds and other fungi such as Malassezia furfur and infections by Corynebacterium minutissimum. These may be for example, mycoses of the feet and hands (tinea padum, tinea manuum), mycoses of the skin and skin folds (tinea corporis, tinea inguinalis), pityriasis versicolor,erythrasms. Ringworm (tinea) infections. Athlete’s foot, paronychia, pityriasis versicolor. Erythema, Intertrigo. Fungal nappy rash. Candida vulvitis and candida balanitis, oral candidiasis. Fungal and gram+ve bacterial infection of skin and nails, fungal externa, vulvitis, balanitis.
DOSE:
Cream
Apply sparingly to the affected area and rub it gently twice daily.
DOSAGE: Cream is used once a day.The duration of treatment is generally , Foot mycoses, athlete’s foot (Tinea pedum, tinea interdigitalis) 3 weeks Mycoses on the body, hands and skin folds (Tinea corporis, tinea manuum, tinea inguinalis) 2-3 weeks Pityriasis versicolor, erythrasma 2 weeks Superficial candidosis of the skin 2-4 weeks.

Side Effects:
Local irritation, burning sensation, itching. Contact dermatitis.

Precautions:
Not to be used in eye. Continue the treatment for minimum period of 2 to 4 weeks after disappearance of all signs of infection.
Pregnancy: Use with caution in 1st trimester.
Breast-feeding: Use with caution.
Old age: May be used.
Interaction:
Polyene Antibiotics: Antagonises effects of polyene antibiotics.
