ROXATIDINE ACETATE HYDROCHLORIDE

Indications & Dose:

Duodenal and benign gastric ulcers and reflux oesophagitis. Prophylaxis or recurrent gastric/duodenal ulcers and as maintenance therapy.




Adult: 150 mg once daily in the evening or 75 mg twice daily for 4-6 wks. Maintenance therapy; 75 mg daily in the evening.
Paediatrics: Not recommended in children under l4.
Pregnancy: Should not be used.
Lactation: Should not be used.
Elderly: Reduce the dose.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, malignant gastric ulcers, or anuria.

Side Effects:

Occasional headache, gastrointestinal disturbances, rarely dizziness, sleep disturbances, restlessness and drowsiness,visual disturbances pain in muscles and joints, hypersensitivity reactions. Transient impairment of sexual drive.
