| Management | Management: 1. Antibiotics like cloxacillin or flucloxacillin can be given orally or parenterally. 2. Diabetes should be controlled (if any). 3. If above measures failed, then slough is excised &skin grafting is done if it is large enough. 4. Excision & cauterization may be needed. |

| Clinical Features | Clinical features: 1. Usually occurs at the back of the neck & hand. 2. Subcutaneous tissue becomes honey combed by small abscesses. The area becomes indurated, painful & necrosed. 3. Discharge of foul smelling pus. 4. The patient is usually diabetic & debilitated. 5. Multiple opening, dry coated tongue & temperature 101- 102° F. |
