| Introduction | Generally occurs in late age group, where pain occurs after many years of normal pain-free cycle. |

| Clinical Features | Clinical feature: Dull aching pain starts one week before the onset of menstruation and diminishes with menstruation. Pain felt in the hypogastrium, illiac fossa and radiates to the back. |
| Preventions | |
| Treatment | Treatment: 1. Reassurence. 2. Heat therapy. 3. Analgesics, sedative, antispasmodic and anti- inflammatory drugs. 4. To controll infection- a course of appropriate antibiotic may be given. 5. For older and family completed patient- hysterectomy with bilateral salphingo-oophorectomy. 6. Treatment of causes. |
