| Introduction | CONGENITAL HEART DISEASES (CHD) Common congenital Heart diseases:13 A. Cyanotic CHD- 1. Tetralogy of fallot 2. Transposition of Great arteries (TGA). 3. Persistent foetal circulation (1 in 1400 live birth) 4. Total anomalous pulmonary venous drainage. 5. Tricuspid atersia (with VSD &/or PDA). 6. Single ventricle. B. Acyanotic CHD- With left to right shunt- 1. Ventricular septal defect (VSD). 2. Atrial septal defect (ASD). 3. Patent ductus arteriosus (DA). 4. Endocardial cushion defect. Without shunt- 1. Pumonary stenosis (PS). 2. Aortic stenosis (AS). 3. Coarctation of Aorta. Incidence of Common CHD:13 1. Ventricular septal defect (VSD)- 28.3% 2. Atrial septal defect (ASD)- 10.3% 3. Pulmonary stenosis (Ps)- 9.9% 4. Patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) - 9.8% 5. Tetralogy of Fallot- 9.7% 6. Aortic stenosis (AS)- 7.1% 7. Coarctation of Aorta- 5.1% 8.
