| Introduction | This is the commonest form of headche. The pain is usually constant & not severe, may be generalized or nuchal. Site: bilateral, genaralized or nuchal; the pain usually radiates to the neck with terfdemess in the neck muscles. Character: pain is dull & tight like a band around the head or like a pressure over the head is a characteristic of tension headache. Severity: not so severe, like migraine and patient can continue his normal activity. Duration: continue day to weeks without disturbance of sleep. Aggravating factors: anxiety & tension, depre-ssion may aggravate symptoms. |
