Indications & Dose:

As an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Usually, teneligliptin is used as monotherapy in patients for whom metformin is inappropriate due to contraindications or intolerance. Further, teneligliptin can also be used in combination with metformin or other antidiabetic medications.

20 mg to be administered orally once daily without regard to meals. If efficacy is insufficient, the dose may be increased up to 40 mg once daily.  


 

Contraindications:

Known hypersensitivity to teneligliptin or to any component of this formulation.


Type 1 diabetic patients,


Diabetic coma or history of diabetic coma.


Severe ketosis.


Patients with severe infection, surgery, or trauma (preferably insulin to be used to control


blood glucose level in these conditions).
